Just a thought I had after looking around for a rear hugger:
Would it be possible to take a front fender from a bike with a 130 (or maybe wider?) tire and make it into a hugger for the GS?
Just a thought.
That should be pretty easy... just trim to size and make three L brackets to attach it to the swingarm, one either side and one at the front... either that or if it's narrow enough to slip through the swingarm, just attach it to the sides and front... small holes and self tapping metal screws should do the job :thumb:
I'd just make sure the guard is a fairly stiff one so it doesnt' flex too much. Where it's located, if the end was to flex and catch the tyre at speed, there's a chance it could rip itself off the mounts and jam the rear wheel, so make sure it's all mounted pretty solid too!
Has anyone tried the SV650 rear hugger on a GS? I know the chain guard fits... The reason I ask is because I need a hugger that can fit a 150 tire...
