Title: Brand NEW Zero Gravity screens (clear) for $45
Post by: weedahoe on January 08, 2013, 08:02:29 PM
Not mine obviously from the links but Zero Gravity Outlet on ebay has several Double Bubble and Sports Touring for sale. They are blems or 2nds meaning there are small issues with them

But how many of you really duck down that low to see through them anyway? If you are like me and tinting it or painting it, it wont matter anyway.

Anyway, here are the links. Get them while you can

Agreed.  Thanks for the lead, weedahoe.

I looked up some reviews and pic comparisons, and was surprised to only find but a few folks with a bad experience on factory seconds.  And usually bad experiences are more likely to appear online than the good ones when it comes to reviews.  Most people had to look hard to find the problem.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a sport touring one... as I've been wanting one for awhile.  Its a bit of a gamble, but at 1/2 price what do you expect?

My current OEM windscreen has dull spots and scratches that wont buff out, and a stress line at the bottom from the PO overtightening it, so it'll be hard for it to look worse than what I have.  The OEM windscreen is probably the only thing on my bike that shows its 9 years old.

Bought one of the Sport Touring ones also.

Nice find!  I need new plastic screws and nuts for the front of the fairing.  I'll go to Zero Gravity and get some.

I have also been wanting one of these for awhile but couldn't quite justify the price. Thanks for the find! I ordered the clear touring.

Maybe you'll get it by Saturday for a wrench session in  the Bike Cave.

It's too bad they don't show the issue with the screen, gambling has never been a good experience of mine.

Who cares. How often do you duck down low enough to see through the screen anyway? I dont.

UPS tracker says my touring screen should arrive by the end of the day today.  The gamble adds to the eagerness/excitement!

mine came in, me and my wife could not find the problem with it. As a side note... These are incredibly hard to tint...

Thats usually how blems or 2nds are. They could pass for 1st runs but failed QA for whatever reason. Maybe nothing was wrong with THAT one but it was in a batch of ones that failed QA

Tinting it is hard because it is curved. Trust me I tried and tried and tried and gave up! Now I either VHT Niteshade the backside or paint and hydro dip the front.

Got it!  I'll add pics in a bit, but it looks great and I'm very happy with it.  I found one inclusion that is less than 1/4" near a mounting hole. Had to look super hard, and it took forever for a pic to even halfway show it.

Looks good to me. Like I said, how many of us really lean forward that far to need to see through it? I dont.

I lay forward enough where I see just over mine. If I hadnt recently bought one I damn sure would have gotten one of those because that was cheap
