Title: 160race slick
Post by: motoarch on January 12, 2013, 03:39:34 PM
I did a gsxf rear wheel swap today on my 91 with the intention of running a 160 slick for the track.  The tire currently on the wheel is a 140 and rubs rear break arm.  Easy to fix I just flipped it and it clears no problem.  I don't think a 160 will clear and cant find race rubber smaller then 160.

Anyone else run into this problem or have a suggestion.  Thanks.

You just trying to cleat the break stay?
That's easy. BFH will fix that.

Bridgestone bt003 comes in a 140.  Although not a slick, sticky enough for fast guys

BT003RS or Pirelli Rosso in 140 is probably your best bet. The BT003RS works well with a DOT front tire, and can handle pretty impressive lean angles. I'm not as impressed by the BT003RS front.

I used a Bandit 600 brake arm for mine. Bought it off ebay
