Newest scam is robo calls telling you your master card has been locked and to press 1 to unlock your card.
Tell everyone these are scams. They are hitting hard here in the PNW with lots of calls.
If you respond, you end up giving them your credit card number, exp date and security code. If you have any questions on any credit card call you get, DO NOT RESPOND. Instead, hand up and call the number on the back of your card - then you know you are talking to your bank.
My phones have been getting these calls and it just on our local news.
Most often the caller ID shows as 0000000
GOD bless adidas. thank you. ive recieved one of these. i have my paypal acct on a debit card. i dont respond to calls. like you said. dial the number on card. and speak to someone or find out card status.
I got an email from a Nigerian prince who is trying to give me a shitload of money. Of course I provided my full name, SSN, address, bank account/routing number, mother's maiden name, DL number, passport number, and birth date. The spelling and punctuation in the email were pretty bad, but that's to be expected. I mean, he's from Nigeria.
This has GOT to be legit...at least as much as a robocall telling me my credit card is locked. :thumb:
