Title: understanding lowering links
Post by: oldmech on January 30, 2013, 04:18:53 AM
just picked up a 2000 gs500e for the wife. it has lowering links on it and may be a bit too short for her. as of now the links are set at the shortest setting(dimension from bolt centers) if i set it too the longer setting so to speak (only two settings on these), will this lower the bike more or raise it up?

Longer link will lower bike and shorter link will raise it.

Longer links Lower.   ;)

Also, stock seat height is only aprox. 31"  and stock links are 7 1/16" between the hole centers.
