I enabled image uploading. I need to watch the server usage for the next couple days to see if we are OK, or start beating up the server.
Please feel free to test and upload in posts. I need you to test it actually.
If we stay within acceptable limits then I will leave it on.
The next question is should I have it make thumbnails or just allow the full image? I suspect not having thumbs will reduce cpu usage. I turned off thumbs for now.

Hooray. Great job, john and adidasguy :D
Pardon me, but I can't find the button/interface to upload said images. Could you post a screenshot showing us how?
Hit reply, or new thread, then expand the attachments and other options link at the bottom left of the text box. That's just below and on the left side. Click browse and attach the file. Limit is 300k for now.
This is more a test of server load for now. Addidasguy is willing to host the actual images if we don't load the server too much. But for this test they will reside on my server.
CPU usage is my real enemy...not memory or bandwidth... unlimited storage is possible if we can get SMF to work with an offsite server...which would be way cool.

This pic......just made me so happy...
Not appearing as an option for me, sadly, unless I'm blind. Running firefox, tried clearing my cache but that didn't do the trick. :dunno_black:

Try it now.
Same issue. Does the image attachment module/page have a "user level" option? I used to administrate phpBB boards, and I remember some mods like this required setting up similar things, where most users have level 0 or 1 and the mod wanted to only give access to the 2+ crowd.
Seems to be working :dunno_black:

Yep. It seems that global permissions for a group such as regular members don't cascade down to forum permissions. I had to add to each one. Very tedious.

Not sure as to what you are referring to. If you are talking about porn, then anything with nipple means permaban. I will not abide by it, and the admins here know I will not put up with it. For that matter I expect image uploading to be used for technical, informative or entertainment...not titillation.

I think that answers it. No tard farm stuff.
I'm excited for this, I was sick of transferring everything to imageshack.

Hands down my favorite episode. Followed closely by the episode where Jen pretends to speak Italian.
