Hey guys,
Instead of going the traditional route of cheap LED pain in the ass. I've moved the existing bulbs into a less offensive housing. The front ones are cheap in mirror style from ebay but work without any issues. Must draw enough load. Got the progressive springs in today too, but the headlight can still get down to the fender if I work at it.
$2 housings well worth the saved hassle of LED turn signals.

looks neat enough!... you have minimum distance between indicator rules where you are?... so long as it meets the rules .. if any exist .. then yeah! .. good solve!
Good thought, thanks. I looked it up and as far as I can tell the BC rules state that they just have to be mounted to the outside of the bike so as to denote the approximate width. I'm comfortable with this until I'm told otherwise.
Just out of curiosity, what makes LED blinkers "a pain in the arse" in your opinion? Have you had reliability issues with them or do you not install resistors and therefore dislike the faster blink rate?
As for your solution, doesn't look too bad! I'm doing a flush mount blinker as well (LED), however I've done an "uber fenderectomy", so mine will actually be mounted up on the tail fairing.
Every bulb on my bike is LED minus the headlight that is HID

.... this is a good point!! .. i know there is .. (in most areas) .. an upper and lower legal limit to how many 'blinks per minute' are actually allowed .. not usually worried about for most cases .. but there is a definition of it. cant remember it right now and i suppose it would vary around the world.
but as long as any blink rate is within rules they cant do squat .. for the rate anyway .. 8)

If they have such rules in Michigan, the police must not care. I bought the wrong turn signal relay for my cavalier a while back and forced it to work. Must have been made to run more lights because they blink probably 100 times per minute, and I drove it like that forever.
But in all fairness, it may be different for bikes. I only owned that bike for a month before selling it for moving money.
Blinkers are designed to go faster if a bu;b is burnt out. That's how you know you have a turn lamp burnt out.
When you put on LEDs, the current draw is so low the flashers think a bulb is burnt out so they blink faster.
Resistors increase the load to fool it.
Or you get a flasher designed for the low load of LEDs.
Just make sure you get a quality flasher. Otherwise, they die fast.

I did the same, lol. Is there a kit or mod available for the GS to add the flashing/blinking brake light? I saw it on another bike today (a police bike actually)- when they brake, it flashes a few times to get your attention, then goes solid. Great idea. I've got a GMax 68s helmet that has LED lights on the back as well. Anything to get other driver's attention and put you on their radar.

Yea. You can buy an stall the back off brake light kit available here. I'm sure there are cheaper places, the link is just for reference.
