Does anyone here have access to carfax that can check a VIN for me? It would be greatly appreciated.
I'm looking a buying a second bike.
THanks
You can check most VINs for stolen status for free.
All other info, you most likely have to pay for. I, unfortunately, don't have this service turned on for Carfax.
You can do this: check for fraud and stolen - this is free - if that's all you need to know.

Here in West Seattle, if I go to the licensing office with the VIN, they can tell me if it is OK to transfer the registration. On one parts bike they told be there was a title in another state and the title in WA was voided. That meant it only realistically could be a parts bike that disappeared from existence (they didn't say that). An "unknown owner" takes 3 years to complete. I didn't want to do that. (The seller disclosed everything and they confirmed it. This wasn't where I was getting screwed.)
You might go to your licensing office and ask if the tile is Ok to transfer into your name. Or is it you only have a VIN and there is no paperwork?
This one charges
