ah good call adidas
you don't want that front sprocket. get the one with the extra lip. see here http://wiki.gstwins.com/index.php?n=Upgrades.Sprocket (http://wiki.gstwins.com/index.php?n=Upgrades.Sprocket).
O-Ring or X-Ring 110 links, 525 chain and you are Good to Go.
I have a Parts Unlimited X-Ring. Cost me $75. Much quieter than my old chain that I beat to hell. I ride year round in salt, sand and whatever sh!t ODOT and the City of Cincinnati puts on the roads. OEM chain lasted 10,800 miles.
The link you have should be good. Not sure the brand of sprocket and chain though. Probably just a re-badged name brand.

Could be a stock photo. I'd double check...Good Eye!
i highly recommend NOT buying a chain without first seeing its rated tensile strength. when i first got my bike it had this pretty blue O-ring chain on it...turns out most of the O-rings were in the front sprocket cover >:(.... anyway i found a chain on the cheap slapped it on and off i went. yeah it had a low tensile strength and i was therefore adjusting my chain CORRECTLY every day i rode it. i would adjust it ride around and next thing i know chain is slack as he77!! i knew it needed readjusted when i downshifted and could hear the chain slap the swingarm. yes i know...unnerving.
so, CHECK THE TENSILE STRENGTH!!!
I recommend this....http://www.torpedo7.co.nz/products/EKCHON0C1/title/ek-chain-520sro-o-ring-chain......though id shop around for a better price. i put this chain on and have not had to re adjust it yet 4-5 months later!

That's what I get for skimming.
Thanks for all the advise. As far strength goes how does this chain look. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-1998-1999-2000-2001-2002-2003-2004-SUZUKI-GS500-GS-500-F-GOLD-ORING-CHAIN-/370698652315?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item564f5c8a9b&vxp=mtr
Confirm the brand name of the chain. Good brands are EK, Parts Unlimited, Bikemaster, or DID. OEM I think is DID.
You can't go wrong with a name brand. Cheap imitations are just that...cheap.
Ask yourself this...would you want to go down the road with a chain that breaks at 55MPH? It will do one of 4 things:
1. Take a chunk out of your bike
2. Take a chunk out of you
3. Cause you or someone else to wreck.
4. All the above.
Will do thanks for the advice jestercinti.
Expensive chains are for bikes you plan on riding. Cheap chains are for bikes you plan on selling.
