Title: New member!!!
Post by: CrazyDoc on February 24, 2013, 10:44:08 PM
Hey guys just wanted to drop a intro post (Not sure where to post it so here it is)

I just bought my first bike a 06 GS500F. I got it for $1300 along with a parts bike. It had 12K on the clock and needed the carbs rebuilt, rear sprocket, chain, and small oil leak from the shifter fix. I got all that done for another $380.01 so now I'm all set up with a running bike!

I plan on fixing it up and making it a clean looking bike.

Anywho I look forward to learning here!

Welcome, from another new member.
Im jealous youre already getting her going. I just got a 93 with 6800 on it, but being out of work for a broken collar bone prevents me from taking care of the carbs.
Cant wait to make mine look good as you already plan to do. Good luck with your new toy!!!

I'll get some photo's up asap. It's storming like crazy tonight in NW FL. I took a nice ride this morning when I got off work for the first time rode 60miles! I took my MSF course last weekend and am looking forward to riding again ASAP! One thing I found is I NEED to change my front springs to a .95. I'm 5'11 200lbs and man does the front dip when you grab even a little break! Oh and if anyone has some bolts that hook up the oil cooler holler lol!!!

Welcome to the Site. One thing that really helps you out is knowing how to work on and maintain your own bike. It's both educational and saves money ;)
