Title: Who wants parts? Having a blond moment.
Post by: adidasguy on February 24, 2013, 11:15:57 PM
I've got parts for people but I forget who wanted a tail plastic (and I forget left or right but I think left)?
Who wanted the rear brake rotor?

Got the choke lever 2001+ for CD.
Got the fairing bolts and lower left bracket ready for W242.

Locating lower fork tubes for KMS

What else do people need? I may have gotten something messed up. I was sorting parts all weekend and trying to round up things.

I can't believe I tossed 7 PAIR systems. Why did I have them? I got so much stuff I need an intervention. Can I get on that Hoarders program?

Could have made those PAIR hose flanges and turned them into block off plates

They will go to recycling so I still have them in the trash box. I did save the bracket that hold the PAIR thingie as those brackets could be useful to mount "stuff" thingies on the round parts of the frame.

I can same those thingies for you if you want some. PAIR block off plates are so cheap, why go to the effort of making them?

Trying to catch up on stuff I promised people. Now that stuff is getting sorted, it seems requests are scattered in PM's and some were in various threads.

No extra springs.

Addy I was looking for plastics but ended up painting mine.

If you've got a 2.30 and 2.35 shim, I'd love to buy those from you or trade for them!

Wouldn't have a rear cowl fairing (one that's over tail light)? I don't have a clue what happened to mine, i think it might have come off when it fell over on a turn coming home (guy i bought it from did not strap it good, i should have checked it). 3 1/2 hour drive home, and I did not notice until i got it home.

it was night, and happened at a busy intersection so had to get moving.

Well, originally I was only trying to remember who I had promised parts to. Seems to have turned into an order department. So, I'll try.

SHIMS: no 2.30 or 2.35 I can spare. What I have is needed for the 10 or more GS500's here in West Seattle.

"F" tail: have one. Fugley, but not broken. Just got it in a parts haul. Was destined for the dumpster with the rest of the tail as all the plastics were "M" Monster-ized! $10 for the tail center.

Tail "E" plastic washer and bolt (with the screw clip). This what you need?

Clutch lever and clutch friction thingy. Correct parts Crazy?

No yellow fenders.

Cods: tell me more of what you want and I can put together a goodie box.

I seen title "who wants part" and thought you where selling off extra's
I found the rear center cowl on ebay little after posting here that i couldn't pass up. $13.50 buy it now with free shipping, same color as my bike(still shocked at that find).

Edit: Responded to your pm, i may take that monstrosity off your hands to have a back up for a mod i plan on doing later where i might have to trim that piece a little for the light to fit.

Cods: tell me more of what you want and I can put together a goodie box.

Absolutely any cheap or free misc parts for the GS that will fit into a small standard mailing box.
Must include the rubber washers with the alloy inserts that go onto the side plastics if possible.
And anything else you can think of. You have my paypal email still? So set it up and send me a bill?

I have the screw clip, just the bolt and washer/grommet thingie please.
Sorry I was drunk posting last night and apparently drunk ebaying too. Now I have an OEM R1 tail light. Hope it works, not what I had in mind originally..     :dunno_black:

Thanks!

I'll include the clip as they used a couple different ones: metric sometimes and sometimes just a cheap self tapping type of machine screw.

I don't mind storing and sorting parts.
Seems lots of the small stuff I just mail out free. Partly because of various donations of parts, some stuff didn't cost me. Too much hassle to paypal a buck or two. I just say to donate to your local cat shelter or cat food drive for poor cats.

Remind me again Saturday with a PM. I'll be wrenching then and sorting parts.
Include address and specifically which ones you need.
