Title: Top fairing street fighter carbon look
Post by: Splash on January 06, 2004, 05:04:25 PM
What do you guys think of this for my GS?

I e-mailed them and asked if it was universal and if it included the lights.  Here's their responce

QuoteHi,

yes this fairing is universal, it will fit any bike with 50mm forks, if forks are smaller you will have to fit some clamp.

High and low beam is include, but you will have to do connections.

You will have to take off the stock head light to install this street fighter fairing.

If you have any other questions feel free to recontact us, thanks,

Carl

So my question is, are my forks 50mm?
Thanks

Yeah it is ugly. I think it is a bit to modern for an older looking GS. Put it on a Buell Blast.

Here Here. Maybe on an SV650, but no android head for your gs   - UNLESS .... you could go flat black and swap out the stock bars.

I think it looks good but don't put it on a GS.  to get your bar size; take a string and wrap it around the handlebar, measure the length and divide it by 3.14 and you get the approximate size.

Sorry for the confusion - i was talking aesthetics, and only because the gs has richie cunningham stock handlebars and that faring is pretty bucko looking.

Yeah, go to Acerbis homepage (http://www.acerbis.com/ecat/bikeframe.html) and select head-/taillights section there are quite similar products at the same price.
I agree that those fairings are bit too modern for gs 89-00 bodywork...
