Title: Cool stuff you're not supposed to have
Post by: Paulcet on March 08, 2013, 04:07:16 PM
The What it This? game and Yama's nuclear reactor parts got me thinking about things that we may have that are not expected to be in the hands of the general public.  I'm not talking about something you might get arrested for!

So, let's see what you've got.  Pics? Stories?

I have a 200mw laser. Cant buy in the US. I had to have a friend order it for me from another country and then ship it to me in pieces.

Strongest you can buy in the US is 5mw

You can see this MILE away. It can easily burst balloons or ignite match heads.

Lasers are cool. I've worked on/used 5kw (and smaller) lasers before. That sucker would melt a 20lb block of hardened steel and titanium in seconds. Only this type of laser was invisible, as in no visible dot or beam.
