My bike is going to end up getting salvaged, it's just not worth it to me with all the miles to fix 'er up. I'm on the hunt for a GS that was taken better care of.
Also, anyone interested in '05 parts? (No headlight, side fairings, gauges)
It's not that I don't care about fixing my bike up, it's just that she's been through a rough life: dropped 3 times, has over 40k (to some this number is a lot, to others it's nothing), going to get salvaged.
This one is a nice specimen...only 825 original miles! Maybe a bit out of your search radius though...

Hehe, one of my post was removed because I mentioned the low mileage and about old oil sitting.
Anyone ever shipped a motorcycle before? Expensive?
I've clicked the shipping rates on ebay bikes to Seattle. Varies. $400-$700.
I freight shipped one from Virginia to Georgia and it was 300
Life is so much nicer when you know a few truck drivers. I have had a buddy pick up stuff for me alone his haul path, only cost me a beer or 2.
best of luck bro sucks that had to happen

Will do.
For the moment I am trying to find another GS locally that is close in my model year. That way if anythings wrong I can just swap parts and make a nice clean GS, then I will be parting out. Sorry for putting a hold on.
Too bad none are showing up locally!! It may take some time.
