:woohoo:
On the couch, cup of coffee, feet up and F1 on the telly!
First grand prix of the season: Australia, qualifying.
7 a.m. over here now - makes you realise just how far Australia really is.
Any other F1 fans? Long time passion of mine, rarely miss a GP.
Finally f1 at a civilized time for us Aussies
I've always been an auto racing fan and went to Soldiers field every Saturday nite to watch stock car racing when I was a teen. A couple guys I worked with in a garage raced cars and I planned to do it soon as I was old enough, got a family instead. :icon_lol:
Back in the 70's we went to road racing events every summer weekend we could at Mid-Ohio, Road America in Wisconsin, Road Atlanta, etc. Never missed the F-1 events at Watkins Glen (US) and Mossport (Canadian). Remember going to Mid-Ohio for a Formula 5000 event (open wheel cars with 5 liter engines). Saw Jody Scheckter there for the first time and said he would be a world champion, wrecked his 2 cars in practice and still walked away from everyone else in a borrowed car to win the race. He was soon a F-1 champ after that.
Kinda got away from auto racing when I started riding bike in the early 80's but still enjoy F-1 and Indy car racing when I can catch it on TV.
Wow 4 seconds separate the top 10 in qualifying
