Title: correct clutch lever for 2010 model?
Post by: ausgs on March 17, 2013, 03:20:56 AM
My bikes build date is 11/2010 and I need a new clutch lever asap. Went and saw the dealer 1 week ago said they were out of stock but would have them in a few days time, I went back but they didn't arrive and now they are not sure which lever to order. They said from 2011 on uses a different lever but don't have either type in stock anyway and couldn't tell me which one is mine even though I took the old one with me.  Mine has a extra "leg" cast on the end which I think is for the safety switch for starting? So need to find out if I should get the 2011 version or the earlier one.
Thanks

The 2011 lever is different.  Have a look at the MCS Online catalogues, chapter 8:

The LCS16 is for the 2011/2012 bikes.  The LCS11 should be the one you need, I use that one for my GS500 which is a 2005 model, they also suit the Intruder 250 bikes.

If you're in Brisbane and really desperate I think I have 1 or 2 new ones in the tool box.  You can have one for cost if you pick up.  If interstate, cost plus postage after bank deposit is made.
