Title: From Connecticut
Post by: motoarch on March 19, 2013, 04:56:14 PM
I never really introduced myself so I'll do it now.

I picked up my GS 500 last fall with the intent of using it as a track only bike.  I purchased it from a forum user who gos by Kurlon.  he set it up to be race compliant but since Im just tracking it and not racing I dont have to follow all the strict race rules.  Ive spent a little time this winter making a few small changes and painting it.

The build is is here:

Previous mods were a custom tuned and built Works shock, emulators, clip-ons and intake and jet kit.  The list of other parts is to big to get into but he made a lot of changes.
Thanks for looking and I look forward to getting to know all of you a little better.  Lots of good information here.

Pics below of how she was when I got her and of some of my other babies.

what's that little sachs 125 like?  i've had my eye on something little for a while now, and that one was the first one I ever saw.  Now returning from google, i gotta say.  Those look awesome.

Jetting/filter?  Top speed?  Regeared to some extent I assume?

I had a little 110cc with .89 main jets that would hold 50 on the flat, but when I got it the gearing was so low 1st and 2nd were useless.

Don't know, I haven't finished it yet but it's got a turbo going on it.
