Today was my final day as a corporate cube monkey!
Tomorrow, I clear out my cube and begin life as a professional student.

CONGRATS!!!!
Before, you were getting paid to do work.
Now, you are paying school to do work.
What about this don't I get? So you're willingly submitting yourself to years of unpaid servitude?
btw, I'm a grad student. I really do like working more. Getting paid to make stuff and operate machinery is fun :) Sitting at desk and trying to do computer analysis? Yawn.
means to an end man, means to an end.
And actually YOU are paying me to go to school courtesy of the GI BILL.
:)
oh yeah, I got the GI Bill too. I'm glad I waited a few years to start collecting though. They pay mad cash now! A few years ago, it was only 14k total over 36 months, now it just goes up and up! Woo! 8)

Uh, have you checked tuition prices lately? State schools are still reasonable, but anywhere else - L :o :o K OUT!
Way to go JamesG- tipping my beer right now.
Whats your definition of reasonable? It's still $3,000/semester at my State school. But hey, I am also a member of the military. Army National Guard to be exact. I love the benifits!

The army will be helpin pay for my vet-tec schooling.
When you got grad school paid for and a stipend from your research group, GI Bill is just extra spending money
Though my current medical bills are ludicrous and things are so f-ed up I'm probably going to take spring semester off :(

One my regrets is not joining up when i was younger.....
I wish i could get away with $3,000 a semi. My student loans would cover that no prob. How 'bout $8000 :o :o :o :o a quarter? Iwould go elsewhere but i have to work and Drexel has the only night program in the area. To be fair, it has been praised in US news and world report and came in #1 for IS degrees a few years back. Still, i'll not own a house because of my financial burden when i graduate, if the market is good enough for me to get a better job so i can pay my loans.
