Definitely a gamble. He says the battery is dead (easy to solve on the spot) but that pump being bad could just be his way of selling it and hiding a myriad of other problems.
That headlight is ugly and so are those Mickey mouse ears for mirrors.
Only problem is buying bikes that dont run, you never really know what you are buying.
For example, the last GS5 I bought didnt run. Owner said it needed a new bearing and was a $40 part. I had already sourced and bought a replacement engine anyway but glad I did because his engine was 100% locked up with a busted piston, broke rod and cracked cylinder sleeves from the impact of the piston.
Point is, you never know really what you are buying. He might have a lot more issues than it needing a fuel pump so be careful.
Yeah...I guess you can't really find old gems anymore. The market here is so saturated.
