Title: How to adjust the fuel screws??
Post by: GSF500 on March 28, 2013, 01:41:16 PM
Has anyone installed the longer fuel mixing screws? How do you adjust them for best performance after rejetting? If I turn the screws in 1 turn does that reduce the fuel flow and 1 turn out increase flow? What does screw turning direction produce? Mine are currently 2.5 turns out :2guns:

Turning the screws out increases fuel in the mixture (richens).  2.5 to 3.5 turns out is usually the sweet spot.

What he said. The longer screws work like regular except you can use your fingers instead of needing a screw driver.
FactoryPro makes ones for the newer carbs.
They made some for me for the older carbs (but no one here wants them so I have 7 extra sets on the bench  )
