Title: tomorrow is the day..
Post by: MNgs500 on March 29, 2013, 09:24:14 PM
So I convinced my dad to bring the motorcycles back from storage. First I have to go to the damn dmv for tabs but then it will be ready to ride. Basically I need a few headers on what to do it has been in heated storage since October. I did go over start it and ride it about a month ago. It took about 4 times. But I know im going to let it warm up fully check the oil level and air pressure since I have a 20 mile before I can take carbs out and clean. But is there anything else you goes do. Remember I have no tools or very minimal.

Thanks and I cant wait

If it runs fine, and tire pressure is fine, and battery is good (probably not), just fire it up let it warm up, ride it home, get the tabs, and possibly a new battery, clean the carbs (if you want too) and you should be ready to go!  :thumb:

after teh tabs, if you dont HAVE to clean carbs, if a simple ride will undo storage times, id say forgo the carb cleaning if its not a necessity

Put SeaFoam in the tank. Run through half of the tank and see how she runs.
