Title: 05 bike wont start after storage
Post by: doonsy on March 30, 2013, 05:52:04 PM
I was dealing with a lot of personal stuff and didn't put stabilizer in my tank before storage.  Now she won't start.  Was sitting for roughly 4 months.  It might be battey but im not sure.  Gonna charge battery and try again. Should I leave petlock on or put it it to prime. Thanks a lot

Open the drain screws on the bowls of carbs to get the old fuel out, drain tank, add fresh fuel...put on Prime and you might get lucky  :dunno_black:

Bad gas.  Gas goes bad after 3 months now thanks to Ethanol.

Put to prime.  Drain tank via float screws into a container.  Take to hazardous waste recycle center in your area.  Full with fresh gas and add some seafoam to help things out.

You may get lucky.  In the future, don't leave un-stabilized gas in your tank for longer than 1 month.
