Hey all,
Need new brake pads. Wondering if anyone swears by any brand in particular?
I'm looking at doing the EBC Sintered HH front & rear (FA-231HH & FA-63HH) otherwise.
Good choice? Overpriced? Better Options?
Cheers,
Paul
(Doing the job myself...pretty straightforward??)
Can't go wrong with EBC HH pads. But stick with standard compound pads on the rear. It's been said that the HH rear pads lock the rear much easier. Galfer is also another good choice in pads.
Thanks!
Any suggestions for the rear? Standard compound meaning just regular rear pads?
Go EBC but just normal compound
Cheers. Thanks again

Final question..
Are the HH so grippy that I'll feel like I'm being thrown off the bike? Are they that touchy?
I like firm stopping power as long as it's not jerky or going to lock the front whenever I grab the lever.
I had those front and rear when I had my GS. Very nice on the front but I also like a grabby pad. I wouldnt say its too much for anyone to handle or feel like its going to throw you off. These bikes only have one rotor up front so get the best you can.
I didnt like the HH pads on the back, as someone said, they will lock pretty easy so be careful.
Which is why I'm thinking of going with he FA63 ORGANIC for the REAR after reading a few other comments online. (They say less lock ups). (FA231HH for the front)
Does that sound about right?
I would say that is a good direction to go in. Good luck with it.
One thing to say about rear braking, brake with your FOOT not your LEG. You can always lock the rear up when braking wrong and the best tip I was ever given was this... Never use the strength of your leg to brake, just push with your toes and foot. Try to visualize braking and you will see what I mean. Or go out on the road and test it out (safely!!)
All of it great advice!
Cheers and best!
Paul
