Title: Shorty Pipes
Post by: rharding91 on April 03, 2013, 09:24:48 PM
So while this is not my GS it is a project I am undertaking. I am going to take my pipes and cut them down/re-pack them.

Plan to cut them down so they are just above the tire. First things first I am looking for a sleeve kit in carbon, but the only ones I can find are from yoshimura themselves and are 109$ a side! So was thinking about just wrapping them with some http://www.ebay.com/itm/1FT-X-5FT-CARBON-FIBER-VINYL-WRAP-3D-PROFESSIONAL-GRADE-BUBBLE-FREE-AIR-RELEASE-/130721224032?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e6f979560&vxp=mtr Anyone ever used this carbon fiber vinyl wrap before? How well does it hold up to heat? If no one has then Ill be the first to test it out then I guess.

I have used authentic 3M DiNoc CF before as it is thicker and has better adhesive. I dont know if I would trust knock off materials. In fact, I can tell you know I would not use them in the work I do and i used a lot of vinyls
