So I ran across this pic somewhere & I really like what this guy did with the exhaust. Does anyone know this guy or is he on this forum?

:thumb:That is one hell of a nice bike! I'm new here and I can see that just about everything is modified on that, only thing that looks like a GS is the engine, tank, and parts of the frame!
Wonder what he had to do to get those forks on the front?
There is a ton on money put into that GS. Look how clean it is also!! I would like that exhaust on my bike!
Looks like he had a late model GSXR donor bike for the front end and rear. I'm not to keen on the headlight but it's a good build otherwise.
That headlight needs to go. Putting a GSXR front end isnt too difficult and there are guides on how to do it. Looks like a Katana rear too.
^^ Agree. I think a round headlight would look a LOT better. But that's just me.
Not too hard to do an under-bike exhaust. A little fabrication or muffler shop weld, and you're good to go. Some laws require that the exhaust outlet be away from the rider to keep the noxious fumes behind you. I agree on that one. I don't want to be smelling like unburnt hydrocarbons all the time unless I'm on a 2-stroke. 2 strokes get an exemption.

Now that is a slick sweet bike I like that alot! I would have that bike. As your your under bike exhaust I'm sure you can find a shorty exhaust out there and rig up a slick looking setup. In 2013 the shorty under bike exhaust is the latest thing in bike fashion.
I think if the exhaust dumps before the rider it's not allowed (meaning at the header) but at or behind the rider...ok.
I can point most of the mods out... USD forks (gixxer) r6 tail, katana rear wheel, caliper support delete (which kinda sketches me out) looks like a weird mt105 headlight swap (not my cup of tea.) the exhaust itself looks like a pinched baffle he made himself. very nice looking gs all and all, i love the custom subframe, tail and USD swap. headlight and caliper support im not a go on :D
I agree that the headlight is a little on the large side. Just sticks out too far. I would have put a stock GS light & painted the body black & put yellow lamin-x film on the lens. That would look pretty cool :thumb:
That bike looks sick and I love the exhaust. It's very similar to what I would like to have on mine one day. The tail section looks very well done and I like how it's still 2 up. The new lines on the rear frame look great. Who wouldn't want those forks and the rear tire hugger is a nice touch too. But I don't understand why everyone thinks that's a Katana rear wheel. The spokes obviously go from the rim into the hub at an angle - per stock rims - not straight in like Katana rims.
It's about time the rest of the world caught up with Erik Buell. He's been making underside exhaust bikes for almost 30 years now, starting with the RR 1000 in 1985.
Edit: they could be Bandit 400 wheels.
