It can't come with a girl until it has a stainless steel chain guard. Girls like shiny things.

Most of my friends are girls. I have 1 or 2 male friends but an over abundance of female ones. Of course I say they are mine but they start out as my wifes and I just steal the good looking ones for myself :icon_twisted:

Cods, you need to post pictures of the Left Hand side of the bike.

That's the side with the chain on it...you know, non-exhaust side.

Still waiting.   :icon_rolleyes:

Massive difference in sitting posture. Seems like way more upright to me than it was before (Felt like I was lying down on the tank before.)
I was seriously considering selling and buying a cruiser type but if this solves my issues I will can that idea and keep the GS. :thumb:
I havent ridden it yet because its 9.45pm at night and raining but will go out for test run as soon as the sun comes out.

A black frame would look better.  That seat sure does look comfortable.  The bike looks great with a fresh respray, not the color I would have chosen, but it's not my bike.  I can't say that I approve of the anodized grips and levers.  Red anodized always looks too pink in my opinion.  Have you ridden it since raising the bars?
Title: Re: BEFORE AND AFTER OF MY RED GS

That seat is super comfy! Also it is an inch or two higher. That's the rare OEM gel seat. I remember we were "discussing" who should buy it. I had a few so he got it. I am now down to one. Just sold my last "spare" one to a member last week. I use the gel seat when on longer trips. I always have to readjust mirrors because it is 2" or 3" higher than the Gimbel seat.

How do you like the different bar clips?

Top Cowl is a universal from ebay and is designed to fit lots of bikes with round headlight.
Bottom cowl is from skidmarx and is made for the GS500

Yea Im lazy as well :thumb: I had to force myself to pull the bike apart and just do it. Took a shite load of motivation I can tell you.

Black looks good. Then you COULD have used a 2004+ frame that is already black! (But that would mean changing lots of other things so never bind that suggestion - just jerking your chain.)
Nice work!

I will however use the red tank on the black GS and paint him red lol.
I know what you are thinking. Why not just put the new tank on the black GS and not bother painting anything?
Well because the red GS is better in every way so I will be keeping her and selling the rest.
