Title: New Rider from NSW
Post by: dkidd2004 on April 09, 2013, 04:13:02 AM
Hi all

Thought i'd check in and introduce myself. I live on the central coast and recently passed my L's and bought an 04 gs500F (pics soon)

Are there many on the coast with GS's?

The bike is standard apart from some LED indicators and a fenderectomy at the moment but ill be looking into subframe options and hopefully attempt a sssa soon (trying to gather everything i can from those here who have done it, thinking an R6 tail and a vfr400 sssa machined down, reinforced and engineered, hopefully not have to offset the sprocket)

Any thoughts other than keep searching the forums?

Other than that hopefully i can get out riding soon before it gets really cold this winter.

See you around the forums
Dan

Hello Dan from Sydney. What is an sssa? Assuming it is something to do with the swing arm.

Thanks guys,

Haha, yes, single side swing arm. Still have a tonne of research to do.

Trying to get in contact with gl0ckage after his recent update in this thread http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=60145.20

Seems he has managed to make it all work, not sure if he continued down the vfr400 swingarm trail (after the bike thefts) but hopefully he can shed some light on the situation.

Other than that, just re registered the bike and thinking of heading out to Old Pac or Yarramalong for a ride (i get mid week days off) although i need to get some new tyres in the next few weeks so might hold off till then.

Thanks for the welcome, ill see you around the forums :)

Cheers
Dan
