Post by: Thomps991 on April 09, 2013, 05:01:15 AM
I've been searching this forum but haven't come across this ... does anyone know if this belongs to someone on this board?  Would love to get more info.  Thx.

Looks really nice!  I have not seen it on the forum before, but I wouldn't doubt its in the pages somewhere...

Looks like they have added a gear counter in the center of the two gauges.  Weedahoe has a very good write up on that mod... search 'gear indicator' and look for a thread weedahoe started in more recent months.

...And they added the fuel gauge at the top of gauge cluster.  Actually looks like a generic auto fuel gauge you can buy in different sizes.  He may have fit it into a housing he had or purchased separately somewhere, and then fit it to the top of of the cluster.

Never saw it before now but found it on a Spanish language page.  Did a Bing translation so I could read it, hope you get it in English from this link:

Wow, that page is an awesome mod compilation.

It looks like adding a fuel gauge is a bit involved, but I didn't stare at it too long.

Ive read pages on how to add a fuel level and gauge and it was a bit too involved for me to want to do it. Easier to watch my mileage and open my tank top

Honestly, I think an oil level gauge or at least a sight glass would be more beneficial than a fuel gauge to me. Looks really well done though.

It is very nicely done. I looked at adding an oil pressure gauge on mine. It can be done but would require you to keep it connected and plugged in to the test port on the right side of the engine also the time. If you have fairings it all could be hidden. I might try to relocate my shift light though as I like where that one is positioned
