Title: Idea for wire management
Post by: GSBRY on April 16, 2013, 08:21:53 AM
I'm sure I'm not the first to do this, but it's a great alternative to those abrasive zipties to keep wires tight against the frame.

If you can't find those ties in Electronics stores, try gardening centres. Good for staking up your tomatoes, saplings, watering systems etc. Haven't seen red ones before but black and green are fairly common here in Oz.

I use hook and loop all the time for network cables, I get it by the spool and just cut it to length. I would think it might not hold up to the elements too well though.

Used those on my kitesurfing gear all the time.

Sand, seawater.  No problem  :thumb:

I was wondering if they would be ok with engine heat, then found a fire retardant version:

Cool idea. I use these in photo studios, but never thought to use on a mc.
