Nevermind. They gave me a choice of tanks for $150 so I got this one instead
Apparently the damage to this one is the missing rubber stoppers in the last photo
It is otherwise brand new

Its OK but shouldn't the warning sticker be in Dutch?

Did somebody mention the Dutch?

lol you goose :icon_rolleyes:
And as the tank is brand new I guess it would be easier to paint the other parts the same colour as it, so I guess my bike is about to get undressed and change clothes again :)
Adidasguy do you know what colour this tank is? It is a dark blue colour
NEVERMIND ITS BLACK DOH!!
Nope. I'd say dark blue, too.
Look on the poart number sticker on the bottom. Last 3 characters might be color code.
If you know the year, look up the colors used down there in that year.
Colors are not universal. Different countries have different colors.
Brian's bike now has Dutch parts with color not in the US. On teh shelf I have a 1989 red tank with black and white pin stripes. We only had white and black in the USA in 1989.
Photo looks dark blue but is definitely black. Says so on the box and black in real life.
Y7L is the code?
Suzuki Y7L Saturn Black
That's probably it. Go to a parts list and check the page for tanks. The color code will be there as part of the tank part number.
Saturn Black is the same colour as mine Cods if you want a reference.

Wait, isn't black always black? I guess the Saturn could be referring to the amount of metallic finish huh?

Nope.
Saturn Black
Pearl Novelty Black
and I think one or two more. They have minute amounts of metal flakes. Makes them sparkle in the sub.
