Title: Stainless steel - Srinath handlebars...
Post by: The Buddha on January 12, 2004, 08:17:59 AM
OK fine Pablo...Here it is.
I have bought some stainless steel tubing to make them. They will be shiny and pretty. Tig welded joints and the rest will be as usual. Further these are 1/8 wall... like the ones I made Gino's prototype from, not the other dozen+ ones everyone else got so far. Those were 3/16 wall...
So anyway same type, same shape tig welded and stronger than stock just not as strong as the 3/16th steel ones. I have just about 6-7 I can make provided I dont screw up as bad as last time, and $75 should about cover it + shipping. Dont call dibs... cos no one that has on the older ones seems to have bought one. Send a check to.

I figure I can make them and send them out in a week at the earliest. I'll cash your check after sending out the bars as usual. These will be about right to take bar end weights/mirrors etc too.
Cool.

will the stainless bars be able to accept bar end weights?
Title: The press fit kind...

The press fit kind should fit... just press it harder if it wont fit. Basically that is just rubber and can be squished to fit inside it.
Cool.

I cant fit them on an SV and test them... I guess if he wanted to test it I'll send you one, and see if he likes it, if not send it on to the next GS guy that wants it.
Cool.
