I thought this would look cool and considering that I have a couple of friends with a tube bender and good welding skills, I thought I might be something to look into.
I thought about that too, only thing is if u wanna some fine young lady to ride on the back you might wanna make sure it doesn't burn their inner leg. If ya wanna get really crazy you can do like the new Honda's and make an undertail exhaust, just won't have any storage back there anymore.
I would love to do an untertail exhaust.
I am getting some tail bags soon anyway.
Hmm could you do it without making It sound to nasty??
I personally havent heard what this bike sounds like uncorked. Not sure if I am going to like it.
mine is/has been punched/drilled, thing is if done right, sounds good, if done wrong, can sound er. um. bad :(
I am toying with the idea of building a Buell-ish under engine exhaust. The only real problem is that to keep the correct tuned length, it will have to twist about itself intestine like.
:dunno:
Kinda like the Britten super bike, I always wanted to paint them brown instead of blue that the britten did... Would be so awful, especially if the bike is really pertty otherwise.
Cool.

undertail muffler would be awsome...since the first time i seen a ducati with undertail mufflers i was amazed...but i don't think it will work good on the GS...you can probobly squeeze them betwean the tire and tail but it wouldn't look good and there would be no more space left....if anyone could raise the tail then everyting would work nicely
I have seen high mounts on SV's and R6's that have got the muffler stuffed under the foot peg carrier or some like that, and honestly I think it looks stoopid. If the bike was designed to have mufflers go down the side, altering it too much starts to look contrived and makes you go... what the hell was this guy thinking. Now on a GS if you tip the muffler and make the can exit as high as it can without making it go under stuff and making it look unnatural... that is as far as I'd take it.
Cool.

Man, I love that Britten. I saw a motorcycle documentary that mentioned his acheivements! WOW! I remember that bike standing up everytime it came out of the corner. I wonder why they didnt use some of this designs or innovations :dunno:
