Sorry if this has been discussed but I searched and couldn't find anything. Loads of threads about the standard dominator headlights, but none on the projectors. Does anyone have these installed? How is the beam pattern? I plan on doing mostly night driving (comes with the job) so having excellent visibility at night in both city and country driving is a must. The stock headlight just isn't cutting it. I know I can fool around with finding a better bulb, but the gains are minimal, the beat pattern is still going to blow.
Just basically looking for any first-hand experience, photos of the install, and maybe even photos of the beam pattern if I can be greedy. I'm not sure why these aren't more popular than the normal dominators. Only $100 more expensive and projectors are usually much better for night driving. Only downfall I can see is that it uses a low beam and high beam projector, which means you only have one light compared to the dual-duty dominator lights (mean both are on all the time), although probably better for longevity of the lights. Not sure which one would throw more light on the road which is why I'm asking for any experience.
Thanks!
install 10w (or go crazy and get 18w) x2 led lights in a supplimentary role on either side of your forks. get the "spot" beam width, but don't blind other drivers with them.
most places I've seen this is a $50 investment.
no other light compares currently. hid has -nothing- on this setup.

Appreciate the links to the aux lights, and that's probably going to be the next step. I have some in mind that I'm probably going to wire up on the forks, but I'd really like some info or reviews on the projectors, I can't seem to find any except for one on the SV forums but it was very short and sweet.
I don't think anyone here has installed the projectors. Do it. Post results! :D
One thing I had thought about doing was getting an SV650 headlight which has a clear lens:

mounting a Bi-Xenon Projector kit from these guys inside of it:

That Bi-Xenon would fit directly into the H4 mounting hole on the SV Headlight and it provides a cutoff low-beam and a full coverage high beam in one unit. This way you are not constantly switching the HID on and off, it simple flips the shutter out of the way and allows the light to aim higher when the high beam is turned on.
Its not a clean or streamlined as a set of dominators but it would be properly done and you would have a nice cutoff to keep from blinding people.
+1 on the sv light, its the best looking globe out there, with an hid it will rock.
anyone considering leds should definitely go for it. keep in mind the very cheap $30 sets usually perform as well or better than the $300 sets ;-)
I do have a set of FX-R projectors and a 50w HID kit left over from a previous vehicle, but I'm trying to get away from the giant single headlight as well. I'm a big fan of the smaller dual headlights.
Plus hiding the balast and wiring would be a big pain.
