Title: Rear Brake Disconnected?
Post by: joeyshakespeare on May 14, 2013, 01:49:54 PM
Hi all, if you've seen any of my posts recently you'll know I had a minor accident and am trying to get my bike put back together.
I though I had everything working but went for my first ride yesterday to discover that my rear brake is not working.
The actual lever moves freely so I think it is disconnected, instead of shot brake pads etc.
What should I do to test and what is there that can be disconnected?
Thanks!

Open your shop manual and look at the rear brake.

Possibly no brake fluid? Disconnected from the master cylinder? Damaged master cylinder?
There's not much to a rear brake: pedal makes an arm move that pushes in on the master cylinder.
