YOU PUT AMD IN THAT THING :icon_exclaim: :icon_exclaim: :icon_question: :icon_question:

FOR SHAME SIR...FOR SHAME

Just kidding, that's awesome and I can personally attest that those are really good components (the non-AMD stuff that is, LOL) Corsair PSU is a huge bonus as well as the Gigabyte motherboard

What kind of fans did you use

And what is wrong with AMD? I am running a phenom II x6 2.8ghz in my machine. Benches better than my buddys i7, and runs cooler as well.

4x corsair fans for the h100

8x thermaltake a2492

That Phenom ii x4 (actually unlocked to an x4) can OC to 4.3 on H2O, and benches better than a mildly overclocked I7-930.

Works just fine, you intel fanbois.

I had a Phenom ii x6 1090t, but I got offered about $300 for it because it was stable on air at 4.4 @ 1.45v.

Couldn't refuse!

I was just joking around. We all know AMD now makes competitive products. :)

Haha, now?

What about Athlon FX smacking around pentium 4 for a few years?

And Intel taking amd64 for its self?

Has a history for coming out of nowhere and smacking around intel.

+1 for the underdog!

Oh cool ... AMD vs Intel ....

Another Mutilated Design vs I need total electronic lordship ...

I've used pc based stuff since forever.... And still use a intel chipped laptop at work ...

But lately I'm really liking the iOS concepts...

You kiddies can go back to your sandpit now  ;) :flipoff: :icon_twisted:

My work laptop includes an i5 processor...I don't believe there's any realizable power benefit to the i5 over the corresponding AMD CPU....at least for business functionality. How much processing power do you need to play minesweeper & freecell all day?

Pah ... CPU don't matter to minesweeper!! .... That's the realm for smooth and fast click mouse response!!  :thumb:

 :D ... I don't have a super flash mouse... But it's a Logitech M500 laser ... Simple but 'first time every time' functionality  :D

Me neither (Logitech M705 here), but it's better than the standard HP wired optical mouse I'd have instead.

:D same mouse ... but yours is wireless.... my memory and patience is too bad for battery changes in wireless stuff... i like cables .. even if they do get in the way!!

Yama, what video card are you running now?
an x1350. a gen 6 card. albeit its not bad at all. will play fsx somewhat. jus miss my 3870 though. specs on 3870 are far higher.

(is this thread a "what do you like?" thread?)

I still have an X4 955 in my PC but I had a 4850 before my 570 and I've gotta say the 570 is in general a more stable and easy to deal with card. I'll still go with whoever has the best performance/price ratio at any given point. Next upgrade is gonna have a processor though, this 955 is getting too old.

sorry xune. didnt mean to. i enjoy building pc's as much as i enjoy building gopeds etc. i tended to aggrivate ppl back in the day by using an ati card on an nvidia mobo. so it was a genuine atidia or nvidati am a fan of best back for buck. the 640 i bought as is on ebay in 2008 or early 9. then the hsf was the btf90 iirc. loved the oc. anyhooif i didnt need it, id sell the goped and buiy the pc. but no cant ride a computer to work lol. but must admit its a NICE build. and clean too. did you try and hide the wiring behind the mobo?

It's cool dude, I do it all the time.

Yes, all the wiring is organized and managed, and sleeved in black and red. About 20 hours in work.

:thumb:

I'm a fan of "who has the best specs for 100 bucks" type of mentality.

Back before they fixed the drivers, I had a HD5770 with a GT440 running physx on beta drivers using a false dvi plug.

bump might want to explain to ppl here the storage setup youve got. plus they can always add a terabyte for media storage if they wish. but should in this setup absolutely fly.
