Title: Finally Finished - 1996 GS500
Post by: HPUX1560 on May 15, 2013, 09:54:48 AM
Well guys....I finally finished my 1996 GS500.  Everything is new or sandblasted and repainted.  She rides like a dream.  Let me know what you think.

Before and after pics.

I *AM* a big fan of the satin black paint, as my first GS500 was just that color in the latter part of its life. Good job! Did you redo the suspension at all?

Also, I love those streetfighter headlights. I've been wanting a set just like them for my GS project. Where did you get them, and what are they called? Did they bolt right up with the stock headlight brackets?

Thanks for the replies.  The headlight came with the bike when I purchased.  I had to make another bracket that attaches to the stock bracket though to fit all the wires in back.  The suspension is all stock, I figure let the new owner have some changes to make.
