As the title implies, I am having some issues with my float needle being stuck in the float seat. I can't find an easy way to get them apart that wouldn't damage either piece. Any suggestions?
Thank you!
Float needle seat comes out. It is part of a carb rebuild kit.
Pull out the whole thing and replace seat and needle.
Seat is held in with just an o-ring. It should easily come out.

Perhaps a picture would have been better to include in my first post... they are incredibly stuck together. I did order a carb rebuild kit, which I assumed was just rubber pieces (gaskets and seals). Are these two parts likely included as well?
Usually included, but we don't know what you bought. Pictures? Link to where you bought them?
Okay... I feel silly now. Been a bit overwhelmed with my new GS project, haven't been reading closely enough at all the material I've been looking at. It looks like I will be getting new float valve assemblies... I won't bother trying to separate them then!
Thanks for your help adidasguy! I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions for the forum soon :icon_mrgreen:
Be sure to buy OEM stuff, not K&L.
I see em stuck all the time. Drop em in hot water.
Old needles are better. The new ones are chinese crap.
Cool.
