Hey all.
I'm about to upgrade my stock suspension for the progressive springs which got here today.
First off "spacers"...has anyone made them from the Schedule 40 PVC end cap? Other ideas? Did 1 inch work?
Second... I'm 150-155 lbs. I was thinking a Semi-synthetic 10w Fork Oil? I Don't want it too stiff...I think the progressives will stiffen it quite a bit as will new 10w oil?
Also I ride a few months of the year in cool/cold climate and worry 15w would stiffen alot.
So... SPACERS & FORK OIL. Any help on these 2 questions would be great!!
(If any of you succeeded in using the LAZY way let me know. Seems harder than just strapping her up and doing it right)

I'll fess up... I did it the lazy way... worked a treat though! I pumped out the old stuff with a hand siphon and refilled to correct level and adjusted to exact measurement with a long disposable dropper. I also used 10W and we weigh about the same. I am very pleased with the result. I replaced with Sonics, but your experience would be similar.

I did have to replace the spacers when I added the Sonic springs. They come with some schedule 80 conduit (1" I think?) that I cut to size. Now, the length I cut my spacer would be different to progressives suggested 3/4", but I wouldn't see an issue with using the same material.

Remember: Oil level measured without springs and forks compressed.
SPACER: Forks extended and springs in. Generally, use a spacer that comes to the top of the fork tube or slightly longer. When you put the fork cap back in, it will give you about 1.5" of preload.
