First of all, welcome to the forum! Nice looking gs you got there. 500 bucks and it ran well huh? Why did you choose to paint the frame silver? Also how do you like those headlights at night? Haha.

No paint on the frame! i had to remove the spray paint job the previous had done :icon_confused:.  I plan on repainting later,Maybe a powder coat. The head lights look cool but very dim at night. But! i don't ride at night anyway.
When i got the bike the owner wanted $900 but he could not get it started. Didn't know how to fix it! With out a test ride! I had to talk him down on the price. When i got it home, the problem was the carbs, He installed 130 mid Jets and the gas in the bowls turned to jello.(http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q38/bvp187/IMG_1710.jpg)

Very nice buy. And yea I figured as much, about the headlights that is. I was interested in that headlight a while ago and was asking about it and someone said that they swapped some h4 bulbs for whatever is in it and were very satisfied, maybe you should give that a try.

Nice looking bike man. I also just bought mine. For 850. I shouldve talked him down as just in the last 48 hours i did a carb clean. BADLY needed and gas was leaking from the tank. In fact I found a damn ROCK in there the size of the tip of my finger! Changed the fork seals as well and the stuff was black as tar. Now its purty! Ill post pics soon.

The guy i got my GS from, had a few bikes. He said he re-jetted the bike last year, and cleaned the carbs.
(Which he didn't) This was the reason why it didn't start. I guess after he got his new bikes he just, didn't care about the GS anymore. It had a very sloppy spray paint job, had to rewire the blinkers,to pass inspection, has a small dent on the gas tank, from where he downed the bike, gas tank cap was leaking. I fixed everything now,and she runs like a dream.

Nice for 500,....!  :woohoo:  Welcome in!

I got that headlight awhile back but hung it on the wall.  Decided to use a snowmobile headlight instead,...heheh.
