So I'm doing my valves today, and my front intakes clearance is right at 0.1. The only other shim that I have will bring the clearance to 0.03. Which should I pick?!?? I think the spec is .03-.08, but I don't want to have to do another valve job anytime soon. Is the .1 clearance ok?

The Suzuki spec is .03-.08 mm for both intakes and exhausts. I've been setting the exhausts at .08-.13 mm and leaving the intakes at .03-.08 but would not change an intake unless it is greater than the .13 mm max I use for exhausts.
You said front intakes, but the exhaust valves are towards the front and the intakes are towards the rear. I've found that intakes rarely if ever change but that exhausts change frequently if run at a minimum factory clearance.

yea, i'm an idiot. I have no idea why i said "front" intake. Just the intake. I remeasured and it was .09, so I'll stick with that. Thanks!
And another issue...I just got the bike back together, and went for a spin, let it totally warm up, and my starts are terribly rocky. Sputters and stutters while taking off. Idles like a champ though. any thoughts?

I'm guessing that I did the clutch adjustment wrong. I'll tackle that when the bike cools down
I know a mechanic at a Suzuki dealeship that sets valve clearance to 0.1mm intakes and 0.15 exhaust...so I think you're fine with that!
yup, turned out that I messed up the push rod adjustment. bike is fine taking off. As for the valves, they sound pretty good.
