Post by: Toogoofy317 on June 10, 2013, 06:26:04 AM
Against my better judgement I listened to him instead of you guys and bought the dynojet kit for rejetting Flick for his V&H exhaust. Now I don't know what the freak to put in there thanks to him now I should make him freaking do it! God I'm so pi$$ed right now men! Bone heads!

I need the #s pretty quick so please help!

Not sure what numbers you are wanting.  You mean you need to know what dynojet kit (should be stage 1 if thats the case)? or are you wanting to go to larger mikuni jets and need those numbers?  Some other numbers?
I wouldn't think you need much for just the exhaust.. maybe 20/60/135??  Someone probably knows better on that than myself, I was just trying to get more clarification on what you wanted.

I ran stock jets with a K&N lunch box and single yoshi for a long time. I did drive out the brass caps and adjust the mixture screws but I never had a problem with it

Later on I did change jets "just because" and those im using now are in my signature

Junior went a V&H exhaust with no changes at all.
It was loud, so I jammed the Jardine silencer in t he end and now it is loud but livable.
Just put on the exhaust and run Flick. Fiddle with jetting only if you feel it needs to be done.

I tried running Flick but he was running real lean. So, I followed the Dyno Jet instructions they had fallen on the floor which is why I didn't have a clue plus that and a blood sugar of 57 so my cognition was a little off. After I had lunch my senses came back and got it in according to Dyno now Flick is good except for the mids he runs fine until 3k then starts bogging down but once I get up to 6K he is a little scary he just surges forward and flies! According to the Wiki I need a 62.5 Mikuni but I don't have a clue what I need Dyno wise.

Oh and Happy Birthday to me Happy Birthday to me!

I think dyno is just a brand, mikuni is that type of carburetor so you have to use mikuni jets (small rounds if im not mistaken, but dont quote me on that!) dyno-jet makes kits for possible modifications (or thats my under-standing atleast) so a 62.5 should still be a 62.5

And happy birthday to you! i hope it goes better than mine went!

Dyno is the brand, size is size no matter what brand.  Look at the matrix.  Your not doing anything out of the ordinary.  Plenty of people have run your combo before.  Jet it the way they have.  Not brain surgery, this forum has taken the guess work out of pretty much everything on this bike.
