So heres the deal, its been about 4 days since the crash and i should be getting my new transmission cover soon and filling her back up with oil, since all of it drained out when the cover cracked open from the impact. I layed her down on the right side and i noticed i lost the clip on the master link on my chain, the clutch safety switch thingy that starts her up is broken, and gas tank is dented. Is there anything significant that i should check before taking my bike out again? I dont wana break down somewhere. Any suggestions are welcome!!

but yeah .. good thing you noticed the master clip ... i dont know anything specific .. but even without a crash (so far) .. i try and spend a quiet 20-30 mins before a ride (every few rides) .... just checking over the bike ... loose bolts, wiggly bits? ie are they sposed to? .. covers, lenses, cables and wires, around the battery (which you should check for fluid level if its a wet cell and bike was laying down significant time) , wheels/tyres/wheel balance weights (still there?) ... bars/clipons not distorted or moved? .. etc
you know .. just some time 'sitting on a crate' beside your machine .. surprising what you suddenly notice sometimes! .. i noticed my battery breather tube needs renewing and my led front 'park' light is flickering sometimes ... and .. my horn either dont work or goes .. 'g.....ruuuuu...rrrr.......k' very softly and faintly.... on the weekend before i went for a leisurely ride...
added to my 'list' , which is whiteboard marker on the side of the beer fridge! .. now if i can just find the bloody multimeter!!
i actually do not have wheel balancing weights!!! i started using this new product called dynabeads, which supposedly eliminate the need to balance tires, and give an additional 15% more mileage on your tires. Theyre these little beads that go in your tire and they freefloat while you ride. But yeah i was looking over everything just to be sure theres nothing loose. I might check the carbs later to make sure the floats werent knocked out of place and to make sure no dirt or gunk got in there. I landed in some dirt...
After seeing the pics in your previous post.....rotor and magnets, stator winding and crank shaft runout.
dyna beads!? ... now theres a thing!! .. how long you had/used them.. and do you reckon they effective? ... interested in 'review' if you think enough info available :thumb:

ive had them since like jan when i replaced both my front and rear tires. I honestly believe that my tires are running a little smoother and i have put about 3500 miles on it since then and i have to say both my tires still look like new! im running Pilot in the stock size for the F model, and although i have never used these tires before and i do not know if its the beads or not but they still look good. I would definitely recommend them! I got them from a local shop for $10 a tire so they are really cheap for the good benefits!

I'd pull your forks off and check to make sure they are still straight.
About the beads: Airsoft BB's work great and are cheap. That's what I have in my truck tires. Lots of off roading guys use them.

What slack said I would be pulling your front end down and resetting it all. Watch this video as a start point. This guy is a suspension god.
Just got done looking through it all. Forks are fine, Stator and magnets are fine. Just gotta pull the dent from my gas tank and replace the Magneto cover. Thanks guys!!! :cheers:
