So i recently got the skidmarx headlight fairing and I love it!
I'm not so fond of the headlight and its flutes and prisms on the lens.
I was wondering if anyone has converted their headlight to a reflector optic with a clear lens?
Obviously I'd want to keep the skidmarx on since that looks so cool.
any suggestions?

I thought It was on the wiki, but i believe an SV650 is an easy upgrade, check that before buying however.

Technically any 7" H4 headlight should be plug and play. There's room around it so depth doesn't matter much.
The SV650 headlight is supposed to be much better than the GS500. You can see that it has less fluting and a much nicer beam pattern. I researched headlights a lot before ordering my dual dominators. The dual dominator output is supposed to be fairly equal to the single SV650 headlight, both are MUCH better than the GS500 headlight. The SV650 apparently has a wider beam than the dominators, but the dominators put more light in front of the bike on the road.

Wow I thought I read the dominators were terrible for night driving.. I do know they can be converted to HID, but I thought stock they were not that great. Good to know.

Reviews are mixed, but all the negatives tend to lean towards complaints of the beam being too narrow. Maybe not great for back road driving, good for highway though.
I'll have mine on in a few days, PM me if you want a full review later. I plan on taking some actual comparison shots of the stock GS500 headlight, the dominators, and then the dominators with quality bulbs in them. Beam shots, distance, glare etc. I found it really hard to find some quality comparison photos so I'm going to make it easy for people in the future. Going to do them with a DSLR and keep the settings the same for each photo so it's a really accurate comparison.

I have a fairing incoming but for now may opt for a screen and round I like the naked look.
Do post your results I am sure many would be interested in hearing them.
