I want to know what the most likely problem is before he makes the drive.
Here is the story:
I recently spent some time hunting a loose connection for my headlight. Found that and tried starting it up. Heard the starter click, then nothing. Assuming a dead battery from playing with the lights I tried jumping it, heard a click then nothing.
I charged the battery overnight, tried again, nothing. Had a friend come and test the battery, it passed. So then I put the bike on the center stand, put her neutral and tried turning the motor by hand via 19mm socket. Wouldn't budge clockwise but makes nearly one full rotation counter-clockwise, sticking in the same spot.
from searching and reading past threads on here I am left to assume I either have a stuck bucket or bent valve.
Another twinner from Michigan is talking about driving over to help me look into the top of my motor in exchange for beer and a pick through my spare parts.
I am just wondering if anyone has any other ideas as to what it may be, so we can fully prepared for all scenarios before he leaves.

You might pull the left-side cover (drain the oil first) and check for advanced goat's syndrome: broken bits of alternator magnets stopping up the works.
