Title: windshield replacment
Post by: sjohnson2843 on June 26, 2013, 10:53:22 AM
I've read a little bit about the windshields available from Zero Gravity and wonder if they make a difference in cutting down on the wind.  I'm more interested in the Sport Touring. Has anyone tried this?

I'm 5'7"
With a stock shield the wind blast was right in my chest.
With a ZG sport touring shield the blast is hitting my helmet.  It is much less tiring on long rides then stock and it still looks sporty, so I guess it's doing its job.  But it definitely isn't a touring shield that will block 100% of the air and leave you in an eddy (I know eddy is the right word for water, I assume it's the same word for air, since air is studied with fluid dynamics).

Edit:   Oh, and use the search button, there have been several threads and discussions about that particular windshield.

Agreed. I can tuck behind my ZG Sports Touring and have zero wind. But even half way up it is less wind than not having it.
