On my way home this evening, I will be celebrating 70,000 miles of virtually trouble-free GS-500 miles!
Purchased from new in May 0f 2008, Li'l Suzie and I have rolled up the miles and have a lot of fun doing it.
May you all be as fortunate as I have been!
Keep the rubber side down!
Congrats!

That's awesome!
I don't have that much yet but I plan on keeping my GS so ill get there :)
Makes me want to get one for sure now knowing I can get that kind of life out of a little 500! Much to be said for old technology. You don't need advanced electronics, fuel injection, sensors for everything and an engineering degree to study an owners manual to enjoy motorcycling. I like something I can wrench on/modify without getting into too much trouble.
Congrats from one GS long miler to another. :thumb: Expect the clock to turn over on my 02 this summer, now at 98.8k miles and counting.
That's allot of saddle time anyway you look at it!
Also...running that much fuel through your jets assures you don't have to make that awkward "Buggered Up Carb" post :thumb:
