Title: Ordered carb overflow rubber T and got length of hose instead
Post by: twistit on July 02, 2013, 06:21:31 AM
The rubber overflow T that fits between the carbs was split so I ordered one from Cheap Motorcycle Parts using their microfiche.  The problem is, the T is actually called a "hose" on the microfiche, and sure enough, all I got was a length of hose.   So I went to the Suzuki shop and ordered one and their microfiche also called it a hose and that's what I got.  All the microfiches for other years (mine is a 97) had the part likewise mislabled.  Anyone have a used T they could sell me or can point me to a source that might have the part as an actual T shaped item?

That Top T is open to air. If you have a rip ... you can shove a pair of rubber hoses one on each carb and let the other side open to air.
They can not be blocked off ... but otherwise you're fine. So hose ... yea sure, just shove it on and tie with zip tie.

Cool.
