Alright so im getting pretty frustrated with my bike cause the 20A fuse keeps blowing. This all started happening after some buttwipe decided to hit my bike when it was parked. The bike was hit from the left side and landed on the right. I know this is a pretty vague question with multiple causes but what can cause the 20A fuse to keep blowing out. It usually happens when i turn the ignition and if it doesnt happen then, itll happen after i rev it up a couple times.
Check all wiring.
A common cause on the right side would be the front brake switch touching the frame or handle bars.
I suggest you disconnect things. All connectors at the front are unique so you can't plug anything in wrong.
Un-plug things. is it OK? If so, then plug things back in one at a time. Start with things required to make the bike run (that means things like gauge lights do not have to be connected).
also examine all wiring from the right hand controls. If it fell on the right, they could be messed up. My first gut instinct says the front brake lever took a hit, rotated the brake master cylinder and now the front brake switch is shorting to the handlebars. (I have seen that in person.)

the front brake lever was bent but the switch is still okay. i remember that the brake light still went on when i pulled the front brake. I did however find that a wire was touching the engine and was partially melted. i re-taped the wire but i wont know if it works for sure that it was the problem until i get a new fuse, which might not be till either tomorrow or tuesday, depending on when im able to get the money to get the new fuse. (yes, im that broke)
yep, check for the wires running up inside the forks next to steering stem going to the key switch and gauges, sometimes they pinch in fork stops if not routed correctly. ALSO, pop the seat and look closely at the wires around the battery box, incase the batt shifted pinching something between it and frame.
After u replace the fuse consider some spares:

well after taking my bike apart and looking through all of the electrics, i found that my turn signal wire was touching the engine. it melted through the insulation and the wire touched the metal on the engine, causing it to short out. i wrapped it with electrical tape and ziptied the wire to the frame to prevent it from touching the engine anymore. bike runs great now!
