Title: installing new air intake pipes
Post by: younastytwin on July 17, 2013, 10:32:51 AM
Installing new air intakes pipes tomorrow. Ordered the pipe and o-ring that goes behind it (engine side). Do I need silicone or anything, or is just a bolt it on with an o-ring kind of thing?

You're talking about item 21 (and 22) in the diagram, right?

I haven't messed with them myself.  But with the O-ring to create a good seal, I wouldn't think you would need any sealant.

"Anyone?"

Ha, thanks guys. Also, fwiw, looks like the pipe already has an o-ring installed so I have two extra o-rings should anybody need them...
