Title: WTB: tank and carbs!!!
Post by: jboogie13 on August 04, 2013, 02:47:09 PM
I know i haven't really been active around the forum yet but i am in great need of a fuel tank and set of carbs for my 89 500. Paint is not important as i will be painting it anyways, as long as it is rust free inside.

any help is greatly appreciated!

If waiting longer means i will get a better deal on them, then i would be willing to wait. I have my gsx-r to ride so it's not urgent.

its going to be the same deal. the carbs havr been jetted tho for a jardine exhaust and lunch box air filter.so you would have to get different slides if you want it back to stock. i will be putting them up for sale after the season is over. i just bought a f set.

If you can scrape the cash for a parts bike with good bits you need and maybe a few future project bits... Grab it... And part it out yourself! ...  :thumb:

I have a phenomenal tank ...
Its been powdercoated outside, POR 15 coated inside, and it can be lightly sanded and painted - obviously powdercoat makes a great base for paint ... and its shiny black in color, it obviously works if you want shiny black ... It also have a vent installed on top front - you need to put a freeflo one way vent valve hose on it ... That bugger is $10 or less - I'd like $300 and shipping ...

Cool.

welp, paid a bloke in PA for a tank as wel, we will see how it looks once it gets here.

I also am looking to trade my clip on setup for a traditional bar setup.

One bar is bent, but the holder is fine.
looking to trade the upper clamp setup for my top clip on clamp, you pay shipping for both?
offers welcome.
